Jan. Meeting

In January we have our first board of directors meeting. Then at the general membership we vote on the recommendations that come from the board meeting. This is a meeting that makes most of the decisions for the activities for the year.

 

Feb. Meeting

In Feb. we have an annual tack sale. Every one brings whatever 'stuff' they no longer have a use for, and puts a price on it for sale. It went over very well last year, with many items being sold.


Feb. Sleigh/Wagon Ride Feb ?

Cancelled in 2008 because of inclement weather.

Sleigh ride this year at Koltz’s Rock-K-Ranch in Greenleaf.

Be there around 1:30 because the ride starts promptly at 2pm  There will be a potluck and white elephant sale after the ride. Everyone should donate something to be auctioned off. The proceeds are donated to the club.  Last year it was a whopping success. Bring anything gently used, or new to donate. If you don't have anything, bring some baked goods. Anything works.


Memorial Day 2008

We will be riding at the Wild Boar in Mountain.

fun starts at 9 a.m.

This is a fun day on your horse for the whole family. Bring a dish to pass, a lawn chair,  and your own beverages.



 Labor day
The LABOR DAY CLUB RIDE.

Many members ride the Pella ride on Labor day, so this year we will have our 'club ride' there.

Nice showing for the BWRC. Nice weather and fun weekend.


Oct 2008

OK...here comes the big one. CAROLINE, the Oct. 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. That's right this is their anniversary and will be a 4 day celebration (party).

November Banquet


Our annual banquet, held on Saturday, November 8th, 2008 at the Hollander. (formally Willies Supper Club) in Little Chute.


Bar opens at 5:30 pm followed by dinner at 6:30
There will be a short meeting and door prizes after the meal.


No DJ this year, but hopefully we will be able to play some music ourselves.
Your form should be filled out and returned by October 31st., checks made out to Broken Wheel Riding Club and sent to Nancy Niespodzany. Her address is on the order form that was in the newsletter. (or go to the forms page on this website for a blank copy.

 On this evening we take nominations for next years officers. Please consider taking one of these nominations.

December Xmas party Dec 13, 2008

For the end of the year we have, of course, a Christmas party.
Pete VandeWettering has again arranged this party. It will be held on Sat, Dec. 13th, at the Center Town Hall.

The party begins at 6:30 pm and the voting will take place right away.

Afterwards we will share in a potluck dinner. Sometime during these festivities, Santa will come and surprise the kids with candy bags.
This will be another fun night, so plan on being there.

Volunteers will be needed to help set up and also to cleanup.  Contact Pete if you can help with this.
